- Ecological Responses to Urban Morphologies
The REAUMUR project aims to determine how urban morphologies influence insect pollinator communities and their interactions with local flora, by finely characterizing the spatial configuration of land use at the neighborhood scale and by considering multi-scale ecological networks. The approach is based on two main assumptions: (1) complementary role of urbanistic patterns in understanding the structure of pollinator communities, compared to the simple urbanization gradient (link to urban morphology and urban planning issues); (2) role of the connectivity of green spaces between neighborhoods and with peripheral "natural" spaces on pollinator diversity (link to ecological networks).
The methods to be used will be based on a coupling between biological field data and spatial modeling using geographic data.
Two levels of scale will be explored: a national component to represent various macro-geographic configurations from a series of urban agglomerations, and a local component focused on the Dijon agglomeration, in connection with Dijon Métropole.
This project is financed within the framework of the Biodiversity, Urban Planning and Morphology (BAUM) program led by the Urban Planning and Construction Architecture Plan (PUCA).
