This project is based on the current urge for 1) the development of management tools for fresh water ecosystem connectivity and the 2) necessity to extrapolate from populations dynamics to simulate and compare the impact of various management methods in relation to connectivity. The main investigators of this project carried out by Simon Blanchet will synergize their skills in population genetics and the ecology of aquatic environments in adapting the SimOïko model (an already existing simulation platform developed by the TerrOïko company) to simulate aquatic species dynamics in various environments. This project is co-funded by Tulip and the TerrOïko company.
